Head of Legal / Company Lawyer (m/f/d)

 

Remote/homeoffice/one of our European sites

 

Your duties, activities and responsibilities:

 

  • Managing the legal team
  • Managing all core legal functions, from corporate governance, contracts, compliance and regulatory risk management
  • Setting the strategy and goals for the legal team in alignment with the larger Group goals
  • Overseeing the delivery of legal services and resources to accomplish corporate goals, strategies, and priorities
  • Ensuring that there are efficient systems in place relating to compliance with internal policies in place
  • Managing legal risk by taking responsibility for providing legal advice on all legal matters
  • Maintaining proper interactions with the internal teams and departments
  • Overseeing and support on
  • Monitoring changes in the business legislative and regulatory environment
  • Keeping the corporate registers i.e. registers of shareholders, directors, proxies
  • Updating and maintaining all licences and Companies House records
  • Dealing with correspondence within the organization and externally
  • Updating and maintaining all Company Registries records
  • Drafting, reviewing, completing, and filing Legal Department’s documents
  • Reviewing and completing confidentiality agreements
  • Collaborating with outside counsel to defend organization’s rights in contract settlements, negotiations and litigation
  • Supporting business processes for customer offers/quotations

 

 

Your Experience:

 

  • Experiences of company law
  • Knowledge of UK and US Law
  • Pharmaceutical or science industry experience would be good
  • 5+years’ Post-qualification experience

 

Your Qualifications:

 

  • Master’s degree in Law
  • Analytical skills and ability to understand legal concepts and translate those to non-lawyers to create practical processes, guidance and training
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team as well as on own initiative
  • Excellent presentation and communications skills - both written & oral.
  • The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Knowledge of software, Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word
  • Professional, well-organized and detail conscious
  • Discretion with confidential information
  • Fluent in English and working knowledge of German French would be a plus
  • Willingness to travel in Europe
