Business Development Manager (f/m/d)

 

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing NextPharma’s manufacturing and development services business mainly in Europe with a focus on Germany, Austria and Eastern Europe. This role will require additional responsibilities that include customer relationship management, trade show attendance and elevating the visibility throughout Europe of NextPharma CDMO services. This position will play a key role in our new business acquisition within Europe.

 

Duties, Activities, and Responsibilities:

 

  • Primarily responsible for attracting new and maintaining current profitable CDMO customers according to targets.
  • Identify/qualify leads and meet with prospects in order to attract new customers. Additionally, the candidate will meet with current customers to ensure customer retention and to leverage up-selling opportunities
  • Attract new, profitable customers according to pre-set targets
  • Set and attain goals for conversion of leads into customers
  • Monitor and maintain target customer profitability through effective targeting and price negotiations
  • Identify opportunities to generate additional sales from current customers
  • Contribute to the global sales objective by positive interaction with European counterparts and site-based teams.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, science or another related field
  • 2 years or + of relevant business development experience, ideally in promoting CDMO services with an understanding of the targeted customer base and customer needs
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and the willingness to make success happen
  • Contract negotiation skills and a high level of business acumen
  • Ability to travel extensively
  • Ability to interact effectively with scientists and technical staff
  • Strong computer skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • English and German fluent language skills
